About Me

Bio

I'm a proud Australian First Nations performing artist of the Jagera people. I graduated from the Creative Industries (Drama) program at the Queensland University of Technology, and have been a veteran of the Brisbane theatre scene for over two decades.

I was a Core member of the Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble for 13 years, and have a great passion for classical theatre. I have performed in over two dozen separate productions of works based on Shakespearean texts for a number of companies, with my favourite role I've ever played being The Player in Tom Stoppard's comedic Hamlet-spin-off Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead.

Recent Projects

This year, I performed in La Boite Theatre Company's critically acclaimed production of Patrick Marber's brutal and beautiful 90s romantic drama Closer, then spent four months on a national tour of The Sunshine Club, a totally deadly Aboriginal-led musical written and directed by Wesley Enoch with music by John Rodgers. I then performed in the mainstage production of Shakespeare's Antony & Cleopatra as a part of the 4MBS Shakespeare Festival.

Last year, I performed in one of my favourite Shakespeare texts As You Like It for Queensland Theatre, directed by Damien Ryan of Sport For Jove.

You can currently catch me most Sunday afternoons hosting a live stream of the video games Icarus, State of Decay 2, and the Batman: Arkham series on Twitch.

Awards and Commendations

Matilda Awards

I won the Matilda Award in the category for Best Male Actor in a Lead Role for my work in Queensland Theatre's An Octoroon in 2017, and have received Matilda Award nominations for Best Male Actor in a Supporting Role for my work in The Odd Couple in 2015, and for being a member of the Aruga Best Ensemble of the five actors performing in Boy, Lost by Belloo Creative in 2022.

AFIN Film Festival

I was a finalist for Best Australian Actor at AFIN for 2023's Trapped by Third In Line Productions.

Theatre Haus

I received a personal nomination on Theatre Haus' Wall of Faves 2023 for the category of Favourite Performance in a Supporting Role for my work in Queensland Theatre's production of As You Like It. For the Favourite Performance in or by an Ensemble category, I was a member of two of the nominated ensembles: once again for As You Like It, as well as Hit Productions' national tour of The Sunshine Club.
